Many insurance agents and brokers offer Medicare Part D drug plans when they offer Medicare Supplement plans. However, taking an individual agent or brokers recommendation without going through the process I detail in this video can be a very expensive mistake. You see, what some agents don’t reveal is that in order for us to a Part D plan the must spend about one day each year certifying for the plan. There are almost 30-plans available across the country and at least 17 to 20 in each state. No agent is going to spend nearly 30-days each year certifying for every plan. That is a month of unpaid meetings. Instead, they choose one or two popular plans and offer those plans to everyone. Ouch.
Other agents who work for a specific insurance company can only offer that companies plans. If they are not right for you, you can spend $100s or even $1,000s more for prescriptions than you would with the right plan.
Take the time to watch this video. It will save you $1,000s over your lifetime and prevent you from making some very costly mistakes.
